FREE ESL Classes:

Empower And Help offers free ESL (English as a Second Language) classes on Sunday mornings at St. Peter’s Church for new immigrant families beginning their learning of a new language. We provide students free books, custom-designed materials, and engaging, interactive activities. Dedicated young adult tutors volunteer their time to teach lessons tailored to each student’s English proficiency level. Our students, who come from multiple schools across Monmouth County, recognize the importance of learning English for navigating daily life in the United States and unlocking employment, communication, and personal security opportunities. Beyond language learning, our program fosters an enriching intercultural exchange, creating a shared learning experience for students and tutors. We are incredibly proud of our students’ progress and the dedication of our volunteers. These ESL classes provide a welcoming and supportive environment for anyone eager to learn, contribute, and grow.

Our student volunteers are vital in empowering low-income families by providing free basic computer classes that equip them with essential digital skills. Through these sessions, participants learn how to navigate Google Workspace, use Google Docs for document creation, manage emails effectively, and conduct job searches online. By fostering digital literacy, our student-led initiative helps individuals build resumes, apply for jobs, and gain the confidence needed to succeed in today’s technology-driven world.
